(1) The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:- (i) the Director of the University, ex officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council; (ii) two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the Board; (iii) two external academicians or professionals in the area of science and technology, to be nominated by the Director; (iv) two Deans of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Director; (v) one Professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Director; and (vi) the Executive Registrar who shall be the non-member Secretary of the Council. (2) The term of office of the members other than the ex-officio member shall be three years.
