The General Council shall have the following powers, namely:- (a) to formulate and review the broad policies and programmes of the University and suggest measures for the development of the University; (b) to direct the Executive Council to take such steps as are necessary for achieving the objects of the University; (c) to consider and pass resolution on the annual report, financial estimates and audit reports on the accounts of the University; (d) to appoint the Director, Term of office of members of General Council.
