The Vice-Chancellor appointed under section 62 shall have the following powers until the Board of Management commences to eicercisc its functions, namely:- (a) with the previous approval of the Chancellor, to make additional Statutes to provide for any matter not provided for hy the first Statutes: J 0-39 First appointrnenl of officer~ and teacher~ of Uoi' ersi 1y. (h) to constitute provisional authorities and bodies and on thciI recommendation.,, to mal,.c rules pro,idmg tor the conduct of the worl.. of the Umvcr>ity; (c) subicct 10 me cor.trol of the S:.ite Government, to make s:ich financial arrangement as may he necessary to enable this Act or any pm'I thvrcof for bringing 111to force; (d) '"th the ~ancuon oftbe Chancdlor. to make, for a period not exceeding three years. such appomtments as may be necessary by or under this Act; (e) to appoint any comnunee as he may think fit, to discharge such of his functions as he may direct; and (i) gcncr.dly to exercise all or any of the powers con"crred on the BuMd of .\1al\3gement hy or under the provisions of this Act.
