CHAPTER IX APPEAL Any person aggrieved by - (i) the notice issued under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 19, or (ii) the refusal of the Regional Officer or the Chief Fire Officer to pass an order under sub-section (4) of section 26, may prefer an appeal to the Director. Such appeal shall be made in such manner and accompanied with such fees, as may be prescribed. The Director after giving a reasonable opportunity to the appellant of being heard, pass an order, and every such order passed under this section shall be final: Provided that in case of local fire service of any local authority, in so far as the area comprising of Municipal Corporation is concerned, the Commissioner shall be the appellate authority.
