(1) (a) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, any dispute arising between licensees shall be referred to the Commission. (b) The Commission may proceed to act as an arbitrator or nominate an arbitrator or arbitrators to adjudicate and settle such dispute. (c) The practice and procedure to be followed in connection with any adjudication and settlement under this section shall be such as may be specified by the Commission by regulations. (2) Where an award is made by the arbitrator appointed by the Commission, it shall be filed before the Commission and the Commission shall be entitled to pass such order as deemed fit including an order- (a) confirming and enforcing the award; (b) setting aside or modifying the award; or (c) remitting the award to the arbitrator for reconsideration. (3) An award made by the Commission under sub-section (1) or an order passed by the Commission under sub-section (2) shall be deemed to be a decision or order of the Commission (4) An award made by the Commission under sub-section (1) or an order passed by the Commission under sub-section (2) shall be enforceable as if it were a decree of a civil court. (5) The Commission may make such interim orders as the Commission considers appropriate at any time during the pendency of the proceedings under this section.
