(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Board shall be responsible for the general superintendence, direction and control of the affairs of the University and shall exercise the powers of the University, and may delegate such power to the Executive Council and the President for more efficient management of the University. Powers and functions of Board of Management. (2) the Board shall have powers to review the acts of the Executive Council, Academic and Research Council and the Finance and Development Committee and other authorities. (3) Without prejudice to the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (2), the Board shall have the following powers, namely: - (i) to take decisions on question of policy relating to the administration and working of the University; (ii) to institute courses of study at the University; (iii) to make regulations; (iv) to constitute Executive Council and Academic and Research Council; (v) to constitute Finance and Development Committee; (vi) to consider and approve the annual report and the annual accounts of the University; (vii) to invest moneys and funds of the University and take decisions on the recommendations of the Finance and Development Committee; (viii) to create or abolish posts of teachers, officers and other employees of the University; (ix) to appoint such committees as it considers necessary for the exercise of its powers and the performance of its duties under this Act;
