(1) The Director of Research and Dean of Post-graduate Studies shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the previous approval of the Board in accordance with the Statutes made in this behalf. (2) The qualification, emoluments and the terms and conditions of service of the Director shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) The Director shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed.
