Penalties.— (1) Every person or occupier of a factory who contravenes the provisions of sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 8 and sub-section (4) of section 10 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees ten thousand and in the case of a continuing contravention of the provisions of the said sections, with a further fine not exceeding rupees one thousand for each day during which the contravention continues. (2) Any person or occupier of a factory contravening any of the provisions of this Act or of any rules or order made under this Act for which no penalty is provided under sub-section (1), shall be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees five thousand.
