Relaxation of time limit for registration of unregistered fishing vessels

Relaxation of time limit for registration of unregistered fishing vessels.— Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (2) of section 12 of the – 2 – Goa, Daman and Diu Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1980 (Act 3 of 1981) (hereinafter referred to as the “said Act”),— i) every application for registration of the fishing vessels under the said Act shall be made by the owner of the unregistered fishing vessel, with relevant documents, within ninety days from the date of coming into force of this Act, ii) the authorized officer as defined in the said Act, shall consider all the applications which have been received by him after the expiry of the stipulated period under clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 12 of the said Act, and in case such applications meet with all the requisite requirements, register the same under the said Act on payment of penalty charges of Rs. 2000/- for vessels upto 50 H. P. and Rs. 5000/- for vessels above 50 H. P.
