False assumption of certificate or diploma to be an offence.— Whoever falsely assumes or uses any title or description or any addition to his name implying that he holds a degree, diploma, license or certificate conferred, granted or issued by an association or institution recognized or authorized under this Act or that he is qualified to practice the 107 homoeopathy system of medicines under the provisions of this Act, shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to Rs. 500 or with both, for the first such offence, and to imprisonment which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to Rs. 1000 or with both, for every subsequent such offences.
