Punishment for certain offences.— Whoever contravenes any provisions of sections 209, 210, 265, 357, 395 or 396 or of any order made thereunder, or fails to comply with any lawful direction or requisition under any of the said provisions, shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to one month or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both.
