Casual vacancy of offices of Chairman and Vice-Chairman – (1) In the event of a casual vacancy in the office of the Chairman or the Vice-Chairman, the vacancy shall be filled as soon as possible - (a) by nomination, in the case of a Marketing Committee constituted for the first time; and (b) in any other case in the manner provided in section 43; (2) Every Chairman or Vice-Chairman nominated or elected, under this section, to fill a casual vacancy shall hold office for such period as the Chairman or the Vice-Chairman in whose place he is nominated or elected would have held such office if the vacancy had not occurred.
