Penalty for contravention of section 79 – Whoever, in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (10 of section 79 uses any place in the market area for the marketing of the agricultural produce specified in the declaration made under sub-section (10 of section4 or operates in the market area or the any market therein as trader, commission agent, broker, processor, weighman, measurer, surveyor, warehouseman, or in any other capacity in relation to the marketing of that agricultural produce shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extent to six months or with fine which may extent to five thousand rupees, or with both, and in the case of a continuing contravention, with further fine which may extend to one hundred rupees for every day, during which such contravention continues after conviction for the first contravention.
