Penalty for not complying with direction under sub-section (2) of section 48 – If the outgoing Chairman or Vice-Chairman, to whom a direction has been issued under sub-section(2) of section 48, does not comply with such direction, he shall be punishable with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month or with fine which may extent to five thousand rupees, or with both.
