Section 11

Punishment for contravention of Section 5.-

Whoever, in contravention of Section 5, or any rule made under that section, or of any condition of a licence granted thereunder- (a) cultivates the poppy, or (b) manufactures opium, [shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to three years, with or without fine]. Subs. by Act 52 of 1957, Sec.6, for "shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to two years or with fine or with both".
