Appointment of Veterinary Surgeons and Inspectors.— (1) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint requisite number of persons to be Veterinary Surgeons for the purpose of this Act for the whole of the Union territory. (2) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint requisite number of persons to be Inspectors for all or any of the purposes of this Act and specify the area within which he shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of an Inspector under this Act. (3) A Veterinary Surgeon may exercise all the powers which an Inspector shall exercise under this Act, in addition to his powers as Veterinary Surgeon.
