Power to direct Collector to take charge of person and estate of lunatic in certain cases. — (1) If the estate of a lunatic so found consists in whole or in part of land or any interest in land, but is not of such a nature that it would subject the proprietor, if disqualified, to the jurisdiction of the Court of Wards, the District Court may direct the Collector to take charge of the person and estate of the lunatic : 25 Provided that no such order shall be made without the consent of the Collector previously obtained. (2) The Collector shall thereupon appoint a manager of the estate, and may appoint a guardian of the person of the lunatic.
