(a) Unless othenyise expressly provided for, ~~~!~0~~~ce temp~~ any appointtnent, notificat1011, order, scheme, re~ulation, rary measures. fonn or by-law n1ade or issued under t~e PunJab ~ni- versity Act, 1882 (XIX of 1882), read with the In~1a_n Universities Act, 1904 (VIII o_f _1904), sha!l, so far as _1t 1s not inconsistent with the prov1s1ons of th1s Act, co~tlnue in force and shall be deemed to have been made or issued under this Act unless and until it is superseded by an ap- pointment, notification, order, sche~e, rule, statute, regula- tion fonn or by-law 111ade under this Act. (b) The exan1inations to be held in or after Novem- ber, 1947, by the Punjab University shall be held ·by the University and the results declared and degrees, diplomas, titles and licences conferred in such manner as may be specified by provisions 1nade in this behalf by the Govern- 1nent.
