Definitions: In these rules, unless otherwise requires in the context (i) ''State Government'' means the Government of Bihar. (ii) ''Governor" means the Governor of Bihar. (iii) " Department" means the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. (iv) ''Commission'' means the Bihar Public Service Commission. (v) "Member" means a person appointed in the Bihar Art and Culture Service. (vi) "Service" means Bihar Art and Culture Service. (vii) "Appointing Authority" means the Government of Bihar. (viii) "Controlling Authority" means the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. (ix) "Probationary officer” means the new recruited officer under training appointed against the permanent post to the basic grade of the Bihar Art and Culture Service. (x) "Seniority list” means the seniority list to be prepared for the Bihar Art and Culture Service under the Directorate of Cultural Affairs.
