Source of recruitment by promotion:- (1) 25% post of basic category of this service shall be filled by the promotion of the employees appointed and working to the post of Senior Technical Assistant/Technical Assistant/Gallery Assistant, Guide Numismatist (Subordinate Service Officer) appointed in the Directorate of Archaeology and headquarters and regional offices of the Directorate of Museum under the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Bihar. In view of the recommendation made on the basis of seniority-cum-merit list, by the departmental promotion Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chairman/ Member the Bihar Public Service Commission. (2) With the implementation of these rules The member of this service already directly appointed to the higher post different from the basic category of the service shall be deemed to be posted/basically to the concerned posts. (3) Promotion of the non-gazetted officers (Subordinate Museum Service and Subordinate Archaeology Service) to the gazetted posts of this service shall be filled according to the provisions of the rule 7(l) of the Bihar Public Service Commission(Karyasiman) regulation on the basis of recommendation of the Commission.
