Convening of Meetings — (1) A notice of the meeting of the Gram Sabha shall be pasted in the Office of the Gram Panchayat and the same shall be brought to the notice of the public by beat of drum or by any other means of publicity as prescribed. (2) The procedure for convening and conducting the meetings of the Gram Sabha shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) It shall be the responsibility of the Mukhiya to convene the meeting of the Gram Sabha at regular intervals as specified under the Act. In case he fails to convene the meeting as specified, the Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samiti may convene such meeting on this fact being brought to his notice. The Executive Officer may depute a Government servant to be present in such a meeting on his behalf.
