Faculties and its Board of Studies - (1) The University shall have initially the faculties of, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, Poultry and Post-Graduate Studies and such other faculties as may be later prescribed by the statutes. (2) Each faculty shall have a Dean, who shall be appointed in such manner as may be prescribed in statues. (3) These faculties shall comprise of such department / centres as may be prescribed. However, depending on the nature of the subject and functions, one department / centre may cater to the needs of more than one faculty. (4) Each faculty shall consist of such members as may be prescribed. Dean of the concerned faculty will be the Chairperson (5) The functions of each faculty shall be the following :- (i) To revise teaching programmes and suggest for improvement thereof (ii) To consider the recommendations of the respective Board of studies and to place the same before the Academic Council for consideration and approval (iii) Faculties of the Subject matter shall be responsible for Bachelor degree programme while Faculty of Post-Graduate Studies shall be responsible for Post-Graduate and Doctoral degree programme. (iv) Such other functions as may be assigned to it by the Academic council or Vice-Chancellor. (6) There shall be Board of Studies of each faculty; the constitution of which shall be made such manner as it may be prescribed. Dean Faculty shall be its Chairperson. (7) Followings shall be the functions of the Board of Studies:- (i) To propose the instructions to the faculty concerned, the Courses of study and curricula for various educational programmes offered by the faculty 32 बहार गजट (असाधारण), 29 अग# त 2016 (ii) To perform such other functions as may be directed by the concerned faculty, other authorities and Vice-Chancellor
