Section 31

Time-limit for award.

(1) The time-limit within which the Banking Ombudsman must render his award is fixed at six months, from the date of the first hearing under clause (25) of the Scheme. (2) The Banking Ombudsman, if need be, on his own initiative or at the instance of the parties, may extend this time-limit if it is necessary so to do, in the interest of justice.
