(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in Decree-hold- rule 72 of the O rder XXI in Schedule I to the Code of Act V of Civil Procedure, 1908, the holder of a decree in exccu- ju^gn, 198*- tion of which a holding is sold under this Chapter debtor may may, without the permission of the Court, bid for or n o t- purchase the holding. (2) Th e judgme nt-debto r shall not bid for or pur­ chase a holding so sold. 60 (3) When a judgm ent-debtor purchases by himself or through ano ther person a holding so sold, the Court may, if it thinks fit, on the application of the decree­ holder o r any other person interested in the sale, by order set aside the sale, and the costs o f the application and order a nd any deficiency o f price which m ay hap­ pen on the resale, and all expenses attendin g it shall be paid by the judgment-debtor.
