There shall be paid to the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker the following allowances in connection with their duties :- (i) Parliamentary Assistance Allowance : Rs. 10,000 per month. (ii) Sumptuary Allowance : Rs. 20,000 per month 2 (iii) Daily Allowance While on tour and halt within the State of Assam in connection with performing official duties. While on tour and halt outside the State of Assam in connection with performing official duties. : Rs. 1850 per day : Rs. 2500 per day (iv) Sitting Allowance : Rs. 1850 per day : Provided that the Sitting Allowance shall not be admissible if the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker as the case may be, performs the official tour within the State of Assam or outside the State of Assam and halts during the period of the Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
