S. 1(1) This Act may be called the As3am extent and Municipal (Amendment) Act, 1995
S. 2Section 2 of the Assam Municipal (Amendment) Act, 1995 reserves seats for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and women in municipal bodies, to be determined and allocated by the State Government.
