(1) The Assam Municipal (Amendment) Ordinance, 1962 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Assam Municipal (Amendment) Ordi nance, 1962 shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the twenty fifth day of January, 1962 (date of pro mulgation of the Ordinance).
