Thc Post-Graduate Board shall havc the following members, namely:- the Vice-Chanccllor; the Pro-Vjce Chancellor; six pcrsons from 4mongst the Professors and hcads of Departments of Post-Graduate f)epartrneots of the University and the heads of Department of the constituent Colleges alecod by ilre Academic Council; two members of the Academic Council who are not Professors or Hrads of Deparrnent of the University, or of Constituent Collages, olectcd by the Academic Council; Ibur persons who miy or may not be professors of the University to be nominatcd by the Vicdhancellor; and one member of Examinalion Committee to be ntminated by the Vice-Chancellor. Subject to the provisions of this Act" the Statutes and the Ordinanucs, the Post-Graduate Board shall have the following Ixlwers and duties, namely;- to recommend to the Acadenric Council, the pattern of Post- Graduate courses, the examinafions to be held for such courses, and for their rcvision; to approve the curricula and syllabi for the post-Graduatc oourses and t<l modify thein whenr necessary, after considering the recomrnendations ofthc Boards of Studies: to recommend to thc Executive Council for the institution and awanl of felloxships. scholarships* prizas, honorary degrees and other awards or other academic distinctions and for the instturion and conferring of d*grces, diplon$p. titles' certificates and other academic distinctions in the Post- Graduate courses on the basis of examinations and for the withdrawal thereof; to make rccommendations to thc Exocutive Council for thc jnstitution of Professorslrips.
