To clause (Z>) of section 7-C of the Industrial ct section 7C j) i Sp U t e g A ct, 1947, the following proviso shall be °947.Ct ° a d d e d > namely:— “ Provided that where such presiding officer of a Tribu nal appointed by the State Govern­ ment attains the age of sixty-five years before the completion of any proceedings pending before him, the State Government may, if in the opinion of such Government public interest so requires, order his continuance in office for a period not exceeding six months for completion of the proceedings.” Repeal an d 4.(1) The Industrial Disputes (Assam Amend- Assam O r- Saving. ment) Ordinance, 1962 is hereby repealed. din ance * (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Industrial Disputes (Assam Amendm ent) Ordinance, 1962 shall be deemed t to have been done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the twentieth day of January 1962 (the date of promulgation of the Ordinance).
