(i) The Regulatory Authority shall, with or without modifications, approve the tariff proposals submitted to it by the Board and the tariff shall be notified and given effect to by the Board only upon approval of the Regulatory Authority. (ii) The Regulatory Authority shall, from time to time, scrutinize the quality of water supplied by the Board and give rectifying instructions to the Board if it is not up to the drinking water standards set under the Rules to be framed under this Act. (iii) The Regulatory Authority shall, from time to time, scrutinize metering by the Board and give rectifying instructions to the Board, if there are some errors, mistakes, and inappropriate operations. (iv) The Regulatory Authority shall look into and adjudicate upon complaints received from the public against the Board in respect of supply of water, sewerage and matters related thereto and the decision rendered by the Regulatory Authority shall be binding and enforceable.
