(1) The Board shall cause proper accounts and other records in relation thereto to be kept and maintained, including the proper system of internal check and prepare an annual statement of accounts, including the income and expenditure account and the balance sheet in such form as may be prescribed by regulations. (2) The Accounts of the Board shall be audited by the Accountant General, Assam. (3) The accounts of the Board may also be audited by such person as may be appointed by the Government and any expenditure incurred in connection with such audit shall be payable by the Board to the Government. (4) The accounts of the Board as certified by the person so appointed under sub section - (3)or any other person authorized by him in this behalf, together with the audit report thereon shall be forwarded annually to the Government and the Government may issue such instructions to the Board in respect thereof as they deem fit and the Board shall comply with such instructions. FEBRUARY 28, 2009 .............■ ' < (5) The Government shall cause the accounts of the Board to be published in the manner prescribed by regulations and make available copies thereof on sale at a reasonable price fixed (6) The Board shall prepare once every year, in such form and at such time as may be prescribed, an annual report giving a summary of its activities during the previous year and copies of it shall be forwarded to the State Government for the purpose of laying it before the State Legislature.
