Notwithstanding anything contained in any oi land by )a w fo r the time being in force, the allotm ent of land ram abha a Gr a m c ja n Village for cultivation shall be subject to the following conditions, viz-— (a) the allottee shall, unless specifically exemp. ted by the Gram Sabha, cultivate the land personally ; (i) the allotment shall not confer on the allottee any heritable or transferable interest in the land allotted 5 (c) the land allotted shall be surrendered to th e Gram Sabha in case of general redistribution or, if so required by i t ; (d) on the death of the allottee, the allotment shall stand cancelled. ii Explanation.—For the purposes of this section and of section 25, land shall not be deemed to be cultiva ted personally unless the person himself or any mem ber of his family puts in such minimum labour on the land, as may be made by the regulations.
