- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Gauhati University (Amend ment) Act, 1978
- S. 2Section 2 amends the Gauhati University Act to require government concurrence for new colleges and subjects, and allows state governments to transfer examination powers.
- S. 3(1) The Gauhati University (Am endment) Ordinance, 1978 (Assam Ordinance No II of 1978) is hereby repealed
