In Section 15A of the principal Act, after sub-section (1), the following shall be inserted as sub-sections (2), (3) and (4), nam ely : — "(2) if a m em ber of the Selection Com m ittee is unable to attend, he may send his opinion in w riting to the Vice- Chancellor and such opinion shall be taken into consideration by th e Com m ittee in making its recommendations. Explanation :—For the purpose of this Section, the co-opted mem bers will be deemed to be members of the Selec tion Committee for the purpose for which they are co-opted. (3) If the Executive Council does not accept any of the recommendations of the Selection Committee it shall refer the m atter to the Chancellor stating clearly the reasons for not agreeing w ith the Selection Committee and the decision given by the Chancellor there on shall be final.
