(1) The Executive Council shall be the executive body of the tive Coun- University and shall consist of the following members :— ____ Class I—Ex-officio Members (?) the Vice-Chancellor, „ (zi) the Director of Public'Instruction, Assam, ■ ** • (iii) three Deans of Faculties elected from among their own body by the Deans of Faculties of the University, (w) two Principals of recognised Colleges elected from among their own body by the Principals of such Colleges, (u) the Treasurer, (w) the Registrar, Class II—Other Members (viz) one member of the Court elected by the Court at its Annual Meeting, (viii) one member of the Academic Council other than the Deans of Faculties elected by the Academic Council, (zx) one member to be appointed by the Professors of the Uni versity (salaried or honorary) from their own numbers, andr" (x) two persons nominated by the Chancellor, of whom at least y-one shall be_a woman.
