In the areas where the Assam Panchayat Act, . . i tw^irencya t"1959 is in operation the Bieck Development Officer XXXV of ™ 5 ’ or, where there is no Block Development Officer, such 1959, other officer as may be specified by State Government in this behalf, with the help of such officers of Educa tion Departm ent, as may be attach ed to him , shall act as a co-ordinating agency between the Gaon Panchayats and the Regional Boards.
