Establishment of a Contingency Fund.-(1) A Contingency Fund in the 1 . nature of an imprest shall be established and shall be entitled the Contingency Fund of the State of Assam, hereinafter called the Contingency Fund. [ (2) The Fund shall be held on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary : j to the Government of Assam in the Finance Department, and no advance shall be made out of such Fund except for the purpose of meeting unforeseen expen- diture pending authorisation of such expenditure by the Legislature under appro· priations made by law ]I.
