(1) The director of student welfare shall be a whole-time officer and shall be appointed by the vice-chancellor with the approval of the Board. (2) The director of student welfare Shall have the following duties, namely :-- (a) to make arrangements of housing of students, (b) to arrange programme of student counselling, (c) to arrange for the employment of student in accordance with the plans approved by the Vice-Chancellor, (d) to supervise the extra-curricular activities and look after the general needs of the students, (e) to assist in the placement of the graduates of the University, and (f) to perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor.
