(1) The college of Basic sciences and Humanities shall be headed by a director who shall be responsible for giving general direction to the employment and supervision of the staff necessary for providing courses of study in the basic Sciences and Humanities necessary in the curricula of students in the other colleges of the University and for the development and supervision of instruction programme in these fields as required for the curricula of the University.
