(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act the of Teache rs,members of the staff of the University shall be arfSteff appointed.by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval ’ of the Board. ' (2) Except in cases otherwise provided for in the Statutes every salaried officer and teacher of the Uni versity shall be appointed under a written contract. The contract shall be lodged with the Vice-Chancellor and a copy thereof shall be furnished to the officer or teacher concerned. 'lhe contract shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and the Statutes for the time being in force in relation to the conditions of services.
