Whoever in selling any article by weight delivers or causes to be delivered to the purchaser a weight less than what is purported to be sold shall, if the difference in weight exceeds the amount of error prescribed shall, on conviction, be punishable with fine which may extend to three hundred rupees or with imprisonment which may ex- tend to two months. Penalty for sale or delivery of weights, etc, not verified or stamped.
