Constitution of appellate authority : (1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute as many appellate authorities as may be necessary for the purposes of this Act. (2) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, authorize any officer not below the rank of Chief Engineer in the Public Works Department/Rural Works Department to exercise the powers of appellate authority in such areas as may be specified.
