The Code of Criminal Procedure, I 973 shall apply to an otfence under section 14 as if it were a congnizable offence (i) Ior the purposes ol investigation ol such offence, and (ji) lor the purposes of matters, other than (l) matters relerred to in section 42 of that Code, and (2) arrest of a person except on the complaint or, or upon inlormation recejved from a Gazetted Otficer as may be appointed by the state government in the case of an otfence in relation to the public premises specified in sub-seclion (iv) ol Section 2 ol the Act.
