The Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer may, by order- (a) regulate the use by public of any river or other public place, whether vested in the Municipality or not, for bathing or washing, (b) prohibit the use by the public of any lake, tank, reservoir, fountain, cistern, duct, standpipe, stream or well or any part of any river, whether vested in the Municipality or not, for bathing or washing (c) prohibit steeping in any tank, reservoir, stream, well or ditch of any animal, vegetable or mineral matter likely to render the water thereof offensive or dangerous to health. (d) Prohibit bathing in any lake tank, reservoir, fountain, cistern, duct, standpipe, stream or well by a person suffering from any contagious of infectious disease, (e) Prohibit any person engaged in any trade or manufacture from causing to flow into any lake, tank, reservoir, cistern, well, duct or other place for storage of water, whether vested in the Municipality or not, or drain or pipe communicating therewith, any washing or other substance produced in the course of any such trade or manufacture, or wilfully do any act connected with any such trade or manufacture whereby such water is likely to be fouled or corrupted or (f) Prohibit by notice, the washing of cloths by washer-men in pursuance of their calling, except at such places as may be licensed for this purpose.
