The Academic Council : (1) TheAcademic Councilshallconsist of the Vice-Chancellor and such other members as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (2) The Vice,Chancellor shall be the Chairperson of theAcademic Council. (3) TheAcademic Council shall bethe principal academic bodyof the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules, Regulatjons, Statutes or Ordinances, made thereunder, co-ordinate and exercise generalsupervision over the academic policies ofthe University. 272 (4) The quorum for meeting of the Academic Councilshall besuch as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
