The Board of Management : (1) The Board of Management of the University shallconsistof the following, namely:- (a) the Chancello[ (b) theMce-Chancellor: (c) five persons nominated bythe Sponsonng Bodyout ofwhom two shall be eminent educationists; (d) one expert of manag€mentor informatjon technology or law or any otherfield from outside the university, nominated by he Chancellor. (e) one expert of finance, nominated by the Chancellor; (D Commissioner, Education or his nominee not below the rank of Deputy Secretary; and (g) two teachers, nominated by the Vice-Chancellor 271 (2) The Board of Management shall be the principal executive body of the University. All the movable and immovable property of the University shall vest in the Board of Management. lt shall have the following powers, namely:- (a) to provide general superintendence and directions and to controlthe functioning ofthe University by using all such polr.ers as are provided by this Act or the Statutes Ordinances, Regulations or rules made thereunder; (b) to revie{v the decisions of other authorities of he University in case they are not in conformity with the provisions of this Act or the Srtatutes, Ordinances, Regulations or rules made t)ereunderi (c) to approve the budget and annual report ofthe University; (d) to lay down the policies to be followed by the University; (e) to recommend to the Sponsoring Body about the voluntary liquidation of the University if a situatron arises when srnooth functioning of the Universlty does not remain possible, in spite of all effo(s; and (f) such other powers as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (3) The Board of Management shall meet at least two times in a calendaryear. (4) The quorum for meetings of the Board of Management shall be five.
