The Visitor: University : (1) The His Excellency Governor of Arunachal Pradesh will be the Visitor of the University. (2) The Visitor shall, when present, preside at the convocation of the University for conferring Degrees, Diplomas, Charters and Certificates. (3) The visitor shall have the following powers, namely:- (a) To call for any paper or information relating to the affairs of the University; (b) On the basis of the information received by the Visitor, if he is satisfied that any order, proceeding or decision taken by any authority of the University is not in conformity with the Act, Regulations, or Rules, he may issue such directions as he may deemed fit in the interest of the University and which will be binding to all concerned; (4) The Chancellor shall be removed by the Visitor on charges of grave misbehavior, mis- appropriation of University Fund, moral turpitude, etc. 10 Arunachal Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette September 18, 2017 (5) The Visitor shall approve the appointment of Chancellor from panel of three nominees. (6) The Visitor shall approve the Statute, rules, and ordinances as and when there is a change. (7) The Chancellor approved by the sponsoring Body will be approved by the Visitor for a year. Thereafter, the selection of the Chancellor will be from the panel of three proposed name.
