(I) Any Forest Officer or Police Officer who vexatious and unnecessarily seizes any property on Pretence of seizing property liable to confiscation under this Regulation, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both. (2) Any fine so imposed, or any portion thereof shall, if the convicting Court so direct, be given as compensation to the person aggrieved by such seizure
