Powers to give directions - (1) For the purpose of giving effect to the provisions for this Act, it shall be competent for the Government to issue such directions as they deem fit to the officers, and authorities subordinate to them and also to any local authorities and it shall be the duty of such officer authorities and local authorities to comply with such directions. (2) Government may, remove any member of the above mentioned committees at any time, on proven misconduct, non-performance or misuse of funds: Provided that no removal of such member shall be made without affording an opportunity of making a representation against such removal.
