Secretary, other officers and servants of the Council - (1) the Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint a Secretary who shall act as Secretary to Council and to the Committees appointed under this Act. (2) Subject to the general superintendence and control by the council, the Secretary shall be responsible for the performance of the day-to- day affairs of the Council and such other functions as may be assigned to him by the Council, from time to time. (3) The Secretary shall receive such salary and allowances, as may be fixed by Government from time to time, from and out of the funds of the Council. (4) The method of appointment and other terms and conditions of service of the Secretary shall be such, as may be prescribed: Provided that government may appoint a serving or retired officer not below the rank of Joint Director of Animal Husbandry /the rank of Deputy Secretary to government as Secretary of the council. (5) The Council may with the previous approval of the Government, appoint such other officers and employees as it may deem necessary to carry out the purpose of the act. (6) The method of appointment, salary and allowances, discipline and other terms and conditions of service of officers and other employees appointed by the council shall be provided by regulations.
